Dopo la serata del venerdì sera ‘dedicata’ alla Nazionale Irlandese di Rugby arriva l’ottava data della residency degli U2 alla Sphere di Las Vegas,  al sabato.

Settima data della residency degli U2 a Las Vegas

Non abbiamo ancora molte altre informazioni circa lo svolgimento del concerto, in quanto segnali di trasmissione audio e video hanno avuto problemi all’interno della struttura, come spesso succede ultimamente.

In setlist torna I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For, stavolta a sostituire Angel of Harlem.

Acrobat apre il secondo set di Achtung Baby, invece che So Cruel, così dal concerto di ieri.

Introducendo I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For Bono dice:

“I’m not going to talk about the awfulness in some peoples minds. I don’t want to talk about what our friends are going through. I do want to say that the next song was inspired by the Psalms of David, and the poetry of Allen Ginsberg and his poem Kaddish.”

Presentando la band Bono si è divertito dicendo:

“Ieri sera gli ho chiesto di alzarsi, non lo farò mai più”

mentre presentava Bram.

“Questo è l’uomo con la mente più sporca e le mani più pulite… Lord Adam Clayton al basso”. 

“The Edge è un uomo il cui nome è un articolo determinativo e il cui secondo nome è stato rovinato dalla pubblicità delle lamette da barba”

e parlando di se stesso Bono dice di essere:

“Una delle persone più umili che conosco, molto premuroso, gentile con i suoi amici, bambini e animali, e un pericolo concreto per se stesso”.

Presenti fra il pubblico dello show Noel Gallagher e anche l’imprenditore italiano Piero Armenti de ‘Il mio Viaggio a New York’, di cui linkiamo sul nome un reel sul concerto.
